Nationally, both state and federal governments through the Greenhouse Office have brought into being rules concerning the design of all new residential buildings in regard to energy efficiency. Within the Building Code of Australia there is now a requirement for your new home or addition to Attain an energy level of 5 Stars, known as a 5 STAR RATING. A wide range of building elements need to be reviewed in your construction. Orientation, windows, walls, roof, insulation and much more. It is a requirement by council that you provide an Energy Rating for each new building application.
